Chiropractic for Kids
Chiropractic care for kids has become the most utilized alternative healthcare choice for keeping kids healthy in the US and around the world. There are national & international ‘Chiropractic Pediatric’ associations and organizations helping to teach and certify doctors in the best possible care for our little ones.
Unlike medicine, Chiropractic care for children has virtually no side-effects. This is important to consider when researchers are now finding that the ‘practice of medicine’ is between the 4th and 6th leading cause of death in the United States (what is referred to as “iatrogenic,” or “caused by treatment”) [ JAMA 1998 Apr 15;279(15):1200-5]
The best part about Chiropractic care for children, besides how safe it is, is that kids typically respond very quickly to treatments. They don’t have the years of stress and strain built up from poor posture while working or studying. Most kids need just an occasional adjustment to maintain proper vertebral motion and to prevent nerves from being damaged by subluxation.
I have been adjusted nearly weekly since I was 3 years old (approx. 1,400 adjustments). We saw the remarkable difference in how infrequently my siblings and I were sick, and just the overall level of health we had compared to our friends and family not under regular Chiropractic care. It has and is being proven over-and-over again every single day that a child’s nervous system (which controls the immune system, lymphatic system, etc...) functions better when adjusted regularly. This will give them an amazing edge to growing healthy and strong.
Please come in and let us check to see if you son or daughter has subluxation. It will be one of the most important health choices you ever make for your child. And it only takes a few minutes!
Here are a few x-ray results from children that we have helped! *
10 yr old female - Headaches
11 yr old female - Neck Pain
* Just to note, we do not require xrays of any patient, child or adult. If Dr. Nick feels that an xray study is needed, then the appropriate recommendations will be made. Xrays are used to determine spinal positioning, ligament stability, and overall posture of the spine. In nearly all cases, ligament instability and curve reduction, which are significant problems, cannot be assessed without xray studies.
